Schweitzer Mountain Resort - Hotel

Vaagen Timbers is proud to be the Mass Timber Partner with the Schweitzer Mountain Resort. The latest successfully delivered project through this longstanding partnership is the SMR Humbird Hotel and Lodge, located in the center of the mountain village. Using a combination of Vaagen Timbers provided Cross Luminant Timber, Glulam Beams, and Glulam Columns, the team was able to create the most robust and eloquent lodging experience at Schweitzer Mountain. From the minute you walk towards and into the front door, you are welcomed with the warmth and feel of stunning mass timber. As you enter the building you are drawn to the high-end restaurant Crow’s Bench. The massive Glulam Columns and Beams, environmentally friending fireplace, incredible amount of natural lighting, combined with CLT panels present itself with the feel of security, long lasting mountain living, friendship, and community. Head to the other end of the lodge, and you will enter the youth lounge. Another open mass timber created area centered around the younger Schweitzer Mountain guests all with the same eloquent look and feel as the rest of this amazing resort lodge. Heading upstairs above the lounge, is an open-air Mass Timber supported spa and sauna. Enjoy the view while overlooking the valley below and mountain above all while wrapped in the warmth of Vaagen Timbers mass timber products.

Vaagen Timbers is proud of our forest management partners, support of our local tribes, and deep-rooted relationships that allow us to harvest, mill, press, and ship the majority of our lumber from within 100 miles of our factory, greatly reducing our carbon footprint and helping Vaagen Timbers manage a healthy forest ecosystem. Managed, Renewable, Local, Carbon Friendly, and Sustainable. That is the Vaagen Timbers way.
